With the three pass boiler design and low water content, heat is quickly supplied for your heating zones and hot water needs. Combined with an outdoor reset control, you can achieve a fuel savings of up to 40% over conventional single pass boilers. You will also have peace of mind since the B-10 boiler package complies with ASME and UL standards and is IBR rated. The B-10 boiler system is the cost-competitive heat and hot water system of choice.

  • Ultraviolet Air Purification

BIASI – The Heart of the System
Ken Carmichael of Bray's Fuels (Newmarket, Ontario) shows the BIASI B-10 4 section Oil-Fired, Direct Vent boiler being used as the heart of the hydronic warm air system.  Ken has put the BIASI B-10 on three paving stones to making working on this boiler easier for his service technicians.

Ken shows a side view of the BIASI B-10 4 section with Riello BF3 Direct Vent Oil Burner.  Note the barometric and tee for the incoming fresh air required by code.  Also note the placement of the two limits that are also a code requirement for direct venting.  To control the heating system, Ken used an Argo ARM-6 zone controller.

Hydronic Fan CoilAmtrol Indirect Hot Water heaterConverting Hot Water to Warm Air

To create the Hydronic Warm Air System, a Lennox  AM61-V-100 Hydronic Fan coil is used to convert the hot water produced by the boiler to warm air.  Another great feature of hydronic warm air systems is the option of air conditioning and electronic air cleaning.

Plentiful Domestic Hot Water

An abundant supply of hot water is also possible when using an indirect hot water heater.  The Amtrol Boilermate WH-7 (Red Tank) is capable of delivering 170 gallons of water per hour (at a 90'F Temperature Rise).  This is 54% more hot water produced than with a standard 32 gallon oil-fired water heater.

Hydronic Warm Air Does it All
Hydronic warm air systems using a high efficiency boiler combined with a hydronic fan coil are fast becoming the choice of many contractors and fuel oil companies because they provide the high efficiencies and adaptability that consumers are demanding. These systems can use the hot water produced by a high efficiency boiler in a variety of ways to provide creative solutions to increasingly complex comfort requirements.

Save Money, Turn the Thermostat Down and Stay Comfortable
The BIASI Hydronic warm air system provides more comfort and even temperatures along with a greater ability to add humidification to your warm air system. RESULT: You feel more comfortable at lower settings on the thermostat. Customers report they are just as comfortable at thermostat settings 6' to 7' lower then when they had standard forced air furnaces. DO NOT settle for any forced air furnace replacement, insist on the BIASI Hydronic Warm Air System.

Glace Bay Customer with Biasi B10 Boiler

Sandy From Glace Bay

SAVES 50% with BIASI

When looking to replace his old locally made boiler, Sandy was told by a local fuel supplier that it was impossible to save 40% with any boiler!  BIASI proved them wrong by cutting Sandy’s fuel consumption from 2,800 litres per year to 1,400 litres.  By choosing a BIASI, Sandy cut his fuel consumption in half and saved over $1,100 in only ONE YEAR!

 BIASI 3-Pass Design Saves Fuel!

The BIASI B-10 has a unique triple pass cast iron heat exchanger that extracts the maximum amount of heat from the combustion gasses, resulting in very little wasted heat and super high efficiency.  The BIASI B-10’s heat exchanger path is 7.3feet long versus 1.5 feet for a single pass, “pin-type” boiler, resulting in a greater heating surface area and 50% less heat loss up the chimney.

 * Results vary with each installation.

Saint Dunstan's University Modernizes The

"Bishops Palace" a Charlottetown Landmark

Saint Dunstans University New Home of Biasi boiler

“On April 8, 2008, Saint Dunstan's University officially took possession of the Saint Dunstan's Basilica Rectory, formerly known as the "Bishop's Palace" after completing their purchase of it from Saint Dunstan's Basilica Parish. In February 2009, the SDU Board began extensive renovations to the building. In the process of the renovations, new heating, electrical, and plumbing systems were installed, as well as all new windows and a new slate roof. Efforts were made to retain the traditional architecture in the parlour, dining room, and hallway of the first floor; otherwise the building was entirely gutted and internally reconfigured.

SDU Place is a landmark in Charlottetown, PEI. It is shown here after extensive renovations.

The building, now renamed SDU Place, was officially opened October 8, 2009. The purchase of the "palace" by the SDU Board maintains a link that has existed for over 150 years between Saint Dunstan's University and the Saint Dunstan's Rectory.”*

Saint Dunstan’s University Wisely Chooses BIASI Boilers
When Saint Dunstan's University was looking for new boilers in their heating system, they were careful to consider all the options available.  They investigated both the initial installation and operational costs of the boiler system.  The cost of heating is one of the largest on-going expenses for a large building.  Wisely, they decided on BIASI B-10 cast iron boilers as the heart of their new heating system.
