The B-10 boiler systems have been heating residential and commercial buildings throughout the world for years. It has proven its fuel efficiency and durability in countries where fuel can cost up to four times as much as in the U.S. The same fuel saving technology is now available here in North America. With the three pass boiler design and low water content, heat is quickly supplied for your heating zones and hot water needs. Combined with an outdoor reset control, you can achieve a fuel savings of up to 40% over conventional single pass boilers. You will also have peace of mind since the B-10 boiler package complies with ASME and UL standards and is IBR rated. The B-10 boiler system is the cost-competitive heat and hot water system of choice.

There are 7 models ranging from 265 to 658 MBH, which are well-suited for commercial or multi-unit buildings. We have tested our systems extensively to Hydronics Institute Standards. BIASI’s foundry is ASME certified.

Saint Dunstan's University Modernizes The

"Bishops Palace" a Charlottetown Landmark

Saint Dunstans University New Home of Biasi boiler

“On April 8, 2008, Saint Dunstan's University officially took possession of the Saint Dunstan's Basilica Rectory, formerly known as the "Bishop's Palace" after completing their purchase of it from Saint Dunstan's Basilica Parish. In February 2009, the SDU Board began extensive renovations to the building. In the process of the renovations, new heating, electrical, and plumbing systems were installed, as well as all new windows and a new slate roof. Efforts were made to retain the traditional architecture in the parlour, dining room, and hallway of the first floor; otherwise the building was entirely gutted and internally reconfigured.

SDU Place is a landmark in Charlottetown, PEI. It is shown here after extensive renovations.

 

The building, now renamed SDU Place, was officially opened October 8, 2009. The purchase of the "palace" by the SDU Board maintains a link that has existed for over 150 years between Saint Dunstan's University and the Saint Dunstan's Rectory.”*

 

Saint Dunstan’s University Wisely Chooses BIASI Boilers
When Saint Dunstan's University was looking for new boilers in their heating system, they were careful to consider all the options available.  They investigated both the initial installation and operational costs of the boiler system.  The cost of heating is one of the largest on-going expenses for a large building.  Wisely, they decided on BIASI B-10 cast iron boilers as the heart of their new heating system.

New Mechanical Room Solves Common Problem
A common problem in many manufacturing facilities is created by the significant amounts of ventilation required to exhaust air from the building.  This is normally done through the use of large fans.  These large fans create tremendous negative pressures in a building which can significantly reduce the life span of a boiler.  To solve the problem of negative pressure, a separate mechanical room (along with a separate chimney) was constructed on the side of the building to isolate the boilers from the rest of the plant.  This way, the new boilers would not be affected by the strong negative pressure produced by the fans in the factory.
