"I am well-pleased with the Yukon Husky furnace that I purchased from you. It doesn't use much fuel oil. Since October, we have used 180 gallons and about 3 cords of wood. It really burns the wood completely! It is quiet and we hardly notice it running."

Here's what a Yukon-Eagle owner had to say:

Over the last 20 years I have burned about 95% wood, saving many dollars that I would have had to pay to the oil companies. It is very efficient, and the company has been very helpful the few times I have contacted them for parts. I have never needed service on this furnace, and only occasionally had to replace a part, but when I have they have provided good support and been very helpful getting me what I needed."

Here's what a Yukon-Eagle owner had to say:

I bought my Eagle IV about a year ago and just now got it installed. I fired it up with wood last night and I was very impressed. The heat coming from my vent into the house, was extremely hot. My propant furnace could never heat the house even close to the way the Eagle IV did. The whole house was so warm, that I have to say, this furnace went way beyond what I thought it would do. I used about 1/3 to 1/2 the wood of my Vermont Castings Defiant stove. The money I spent on the Eagle IV was well worth it, I will see a return in one year. Thank you so much for such a quality built product.

The Hot Rod Water Heater

The Hot Rod provides an effective way to route water through the firebox or in the warm air duct (plenum) of a wood-burning furnace or stove prior to entering the primary water. It allows you to use the energy from burning wood to preheat water, reducing the primary load on your water heater... and your heating bills. Made of high temperature, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the compact Hot Rod can be inserted in areas of maximum heat through only one opening in the firebox.

Heats at a rate of 18 gallons per hour with an 80º F temperature rise.

Available in a 24" length. Can be installed by the handy homeowner or a heating contractor.

The Yukon multi-fuel wood furnace is also referred to as a combination furnace or dual fuel. Regardless which term you prefer, they are a whole house wood burning furnace that are designed to burn more than one fuel. Here's how they work. Our most popular multi-fuel models are the Yukon Husky(Eagle l) and the Yukon Polar (Eagle ll). They burn wood/coal and oil. The burners can be switched. The burner ignites any wood in the furnace. These combination furnaces have separate combustion chambers side by side but connected. When the burner fires, it starts the wood burning. When the home gets warm, the burner shuts off and the wood takes over until it is time to add more wood. If you don't add more wood/coal, the furnace will operate as a conventional oil furnace until you put more wood/coal in the firebox.  You are never without heat. The Eagle lll wood/electric and the Klondike (Eagle lV) are whole house wood burning furnaces that are hand fired.

1. LOAD WOOD.

Place logs in fire box. It takes up to 24" long logs. No need to light the fire. Automatic controls take over and the oil or gas burner will ignite the wood when heat is needed. (Note: Electric model not self-igniting.)

2. SET THERMOSTAT.

The two stage thermostat controls both combustion chambers at separate temperature settings you select. The oil or gas fire comes on automatically if the wood (or coal) fire will not maintain the house to the temperature you set for that fuel.

3. AUTOMATIC WOOD-FIRE CONTROL.

Once the wood (or coal) is ignited by the gas or oil flame and the furnace is supplying the heat called for by the thermostat, the oil or gas burner automatically shuts off. The wood fire is then automatically controlled by the wood thermostat setting.

4. CONSTANT ROOM TEMPERATURE.

The thermostat automatically maintains heat levels by controlling the amount of combustion air to the wood (or coal) fire.

5. AUTOMATIC CONTROL.

If the wood (or coal) fire dies down your home will cool to the temperature you have selected for the oil (or gas or electric heat) to kick in. The Eagle then functions as a conventional furnace until you reload it with wood (or coal).

6. HAND FIRING.

If you choose not to use the oil/gas burner for automatic ignition of the wood fire, you can light the Eagle with kindling as you would an ordinary fireplace.
