The Bard GeoTec^TM Geothermal (Water Source) Packaged Heat Pump delivers economical year-round comfort by utilizing nature’s most abundant and efficient solar energy collector – the earth.  The GV Series heat pumps are designed for low water flow rates and offer cooling efficiencies up to 30.6 EER and heating efficiencies up to 5.4 COP on ground water, and cooling efficiencies up to 26.2 EER and heating efficiencies up to 4.8 COP on ground loop.

All units are shipped pre-wired for fast, easy installation in residential or commercial buildings.  They are available in five popular, vertical self-contained models.  Left hand or right hand option in same cabinet.  Unit shipped as right hand and can quickly and easily be field converted to left hand.

If you drive on the roads north of Guelph Lake, there is a good chance you will see Jerry DeGroot, known to friends as “The Marathon Man”, out running. Jerry runs almost every day, rain, snow or shine and has for over twenty years.  When Jerry “The Marathon Man” DeGroot went looking for a Geothermal System for his thirty year old home, he was looking for a system that would run for as long as him.  Wisely, he chose the Geo-fordable Solution^TM made for the long run from Bard.

Out With The Old. In With The New.

The thirty year old oil furnace and 60 gallon electric hot water heater was replaced by a Bard Geotec^TM Geothermal Heat Pump and a desuperheater coil and a system of two water heater tanks.  The old oil furnace which was installed when the home was built was still working, but Jerry was concerned by some of the hidden costs associated with heating with an oil furnace such as the cost of a new oil tank and the repair of his chimney.  Also, the unpredictability of the cost of oil in the recent past was a serious concern.  The hot water system which includes a desuperheater coil and two 30 gallon hot water heater tanks provides economical and abundant hot water for showers and baths.
